What is Comb Scanning?
The integration of Comb scanning functionality in OPIE Anywhere allows you to capture and store precise 3D scans directly through your patient records and then download them from the secure cloud to prepare for CAD rectification and fabrication.
How do I access Comb Scanning in OPIE Anywhere?
Add a Digital Fabrication Files form to a patient visit
Select +Add items
Choose Get file(s) from Comb
Login with your Comb Portal credentials
Select a file or files to download, click Save
Highlight a downloaded file
In preview, update name and description, click Save
Use your mouse to view the 3D file
Scroll wheel to zoom
Right mouse button to rotate
Left mouse button to pan

Using a device with a TrueDepth camera you can capture a precise 3D scan of your patients from only 6-21” away! The Comb App uses the front-facing camera built into the iPhone X and most newer models, so there is no additional hardware needed to capture a scan.

Upload your scans directly to a secure, HIPAA compliant user portal in the Comb App.
