What is Comb Scanning?

The integration of Comb scanning functionality in OPIE Anywhere allows you to capture and store precise 3D scans directly through your patient records and then download them from the secure cloud to prepare for CAD rectification and fabrication.

How do I access Comb Scanning in OPIE Anywhere?

  1. Add a Digital Fabrication Files form to a patient visit

  2. Select +Add items

  3. Choose Get file(s) from Comb

  4. Login with your Comb Portal credentials

  5. Select a file or files to download, click Save

  6. Highlight a downloaded file

    • In preview, update name and description, click Save

    • Use your mouse to view the 3D file

      • Scroll wheel to zoom

      • Right mouse button to rotate

      • Left mouse button to pan
